Uzbekistan’s major industries are primary industries, mainly natural resources and cotton. In order to maintain stable economic growth, it is important to break away from an economic structure dependent on specific industries, and it is necessary to develop managers and entrepreneurs in the private sector, including SMEs, who can serve as the driving force The private sector is the key to this goal.
Under these circumstances, Japan and Uzbekistan established the “Uzbek-Japan Human Resources Development Center (UJC)” (NPO) in 2000 with the aim of promoting mutual understanding and friendly relations, and have been continuously supporting human resources development for SME managers and others, a priority issue for Uzbekistan, and strengthening relations between the two countries. UJC is a non-profit organization.
This cooperation will improve the management capacity of UJC in Uzbekistan, enhance the quality and sustainability of its business courses, and strengthen its ties with Japan, thereby stabilizing UJC’s financial base and human resource development, establishing its function as a platform for industry-academia-government collaboration and business exchange, and contributing to the promotion of socioeconomic relations between the two countries through private sector development in the country. We will contribute to the promotion of socio-economic relations between the two countries through the development of the private sector in Japan.
