JR West Japan (West Japan Railway Company) is inviting names for its new trains to be introduced in Okayama and Bingo area. The period is from May 17 to June 16.
The nickname is based on the image of the rich and peaceful Okayama/Bingo area and the new train car, and can be entered by sending the nickname, its origin, and your thoughts via direct message on the official Twitter account (@Okayama_JR) of the JR West Okayama Branch “Kumanokutte-Mitokyan (JR Okayama Branch)”. The name “Kumaname-Tamenyan” will be displayed on the Okayama branch’s website.
The announcement will be made in September or later. The chosen nickname will be displayed on the car body.
