Resort & spa Kumofuji will hold the grand opening of its glamping facility “Nishi-Izu Tenku Terrace” (3878-72 Toda, Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture) on July 1.
It features tents and terraces built into the cliff, which the company claims is the first of its kind in Japan. All of the buildings have private “sky baths” on the terraces, allowing visitors to bathe in an open environment.
The tent is a large type with a diameter of 6 meters. There are two types: “typeAD” with two double beds and “typeSD” with four single beds.
Facilities for public use include a large public bath, shower room, and private BBQ building. The large bathroom uses the artificial hot spring water from the sister building “Tsukigase Onsen Unpaze” and is also open to the public. The private BBQ building is a dining area where dinner and breakfast can be enjoyed even in bad weather.
