road closures between Kuki Shiraoka JCT and Joso IC on Ken-O Expressway: from July 4 to 8.

Posted on 2022-06-072022-06-07 by News Admin

NEXCO East Japan will close the Metropolitan Inter-City Expressway (Ken-O Expressway) between Kuki Shiraoka JCT and Joso IC during the night for repair and inspection of road structures and pavement repair work. The closure period will be from July 4 to 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day.

In the event that a traveler once exits the expressway due to a road closure and then reenters the expressway bypassing the closed section to transfer in the forward direction, a transfer adjustment will be implemented to adjust the toll rate according to the section used.

For vehicles using ETC, wireless driving at designated outbound and re-inbound ICs is required. The ETC time zone discount will be applied by regarding the transit trip as a single trip.

When paying in cash, receive a “transfer certificate” at an outflow-designated IC, take a “toll ticket” at a re-flow-designated IC, and hand over the “transfer certificate” and “toll ticket” at the first toll booth where you pay the toll to apply the transfer adjustment.
