The New York City Convention and Visitors Bureau, the official tourism and marketing agency of New York City, USA, has released a travel guide titled “Walking Manhattan Like a New Yorker” as part of its new campaign “Get Local NYC – Get to Know New York City” announced in March.
With tourism visitors showing signs of recovery, the campaign will feature one area of the five boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Queens) under the authority’s jurisdiction on its website each month, following the first campaign in Brooklyn and the second campaign in the Bronx. This is the third campaign following the first campaign in Brooklyn and the second campaign in the Bronx.
It covers not only popular landmarks such as the Empire State Building, Times Square, and the Statue of Liberty, but also restaurants frequented by locals, museums, newly opened hotels, and hidden gems. The magazine also introduces all the attractions of Manhattan that are essential for sightseeing in New York City, such as shopping, Broadway plays, and activities in Central Park.
Fred Dixon, President and CEO of the New York City Convention and Visitors Bureau, commented on this, “You could live here forever and never run out of things to do. Not only is this (Manhattan) the financial, cultural, and entertainment capital of the world, but it is undeniably one of the best destinations in the world.”
