JR East will set up “STATION BOOTH supported by Nescafe Sleep Cafe” where coffee and other services are available in the company’s shared office “STATION BOOTH”. The location is within the “Ekitabi Market” at Omiya Station, and is scheduled to run for approximately six months from June 30 to December 31.
This is a collaboration with Nestlé Japan’s “Nescafe Sleep Café,” a coffee-based sleep experience café, to help people get a good night’s sleep and eliminate sleep debt, which is becoming a social problem. The booths are usually designed for two people, but now they are for one person, and are equipped with reclining chairs and side tables. The booths are also equipped with a Nescafe coffee machine and coffee refills are available. Nestlé Japan claims that taking a break after drinking coffee helps moderate caffeine levels and improve performance.
