Otomo Resort opened “Tabi-no-Eki kawaguchiko base” (521-4 Kawaguchi, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture) in the north shore area of Kawaguchiko, Fujikawaguchiko Town.

The “Asama Market,” which offers more than 2,000 products, also features “MEGU-MEGU,” a private-brand product lineup of delicacies associated with the region. Megu,” a collection of private-brand products that feature local delicacies. The lineup includes “Traveling Pudding,” “Corn Dressing,” “Sponge Cake,” and “Handmade Nama-dare.

The restaurant is equipped with an open-air terrace where diners can enjoy their meals while viewing nature and the garden. Based on flavors born and raised in the region, the restaurant will offer roast beef bowls with Kofu beef, hoto with “Fuji-no-suke” (an original fish of Yamanashi Prefecture) and salmon roe, and a doria with Shingen chicken and seasonal vegetables.

In addition, there will be a special booth to showcase the attractions of the Kawaguchiko area, and PLANET & ME – Living with the Earth, a select store featuring sustainable items sourced by Amuse, which relocated its headquarters to Fuji-Kawaguchiko Town in 2021.

As part of the experience programs, there will be a program to learn about the “careful lifestyle” that has been handed down in Kawaguchiko Town. The program changes daily or weekly, and includes a “sencha-do” experience where you learn how to brew and enjoy tea with a Japanese tea advisor, and an afternoon tea experience with a black tea advisor. At wine tasting sessions with special lecturers and sommeliers, guests can enjoy snacks that go well with wines made with locally produced ingredients.
