WILLER EXPRESS, Keisei Bus, Kokusai Kogyo, and Limousine Passenger Service will operate the Narita Shuttle Ikebukuro Line (LCB), a low-cost bus service connecting Ikebukuro Station and Narita Airport, starting August 1. Reservations are now being accepted on the “WILLER TRAVEL” reservation website, and reservations will be accepted one month prior to the boarding date.
This is the first LCB route connecting Ikebukuro Station, a major terminal station on the JR Yamanote Line, and Narita Airport in as little as 80 minutes. 18 daily flights will operate from early morning to night. The fare is 1,900 yen for an adult one-way trip. Also, if you make an advance payment with the Early Bird Plan, a limited number of seats available for reservation up to 24 hours prior to departure, you can save as much as 1,500 yen one-way.
In addition, passengers can book and pay for the flight they want to take up to 20 minutes before departure, and the “flight reservation service,” which automatically cancels reservations if a flight cannot be taken due to a delay in flight arrival, is also available.
Ikebukuro Station is the third busiest terminal station in Japan with more than 1.7 million passengers per day, mainly residents of western Tokyo and southwestern Saitama Prefecture, served by eight lines of four railroad companies. The introduction of this line will not only make travel to Narita Airport more convenient, but will also improve the convenience of access to Ikebukuro from overseas and other parts of Japan, contributing to an increase in the number of visitors to the city.
