On July 1, APA Hotel opened its 12th building in Taito-ku, “APA Hotel ” (1-6-11 Motoasakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo).
It is located a one-minute walk from Shin-Okachimachi Station on the Toei Oedo Line and Tsukuba Express. The 180 rooms with the company’s latest specifications are located on the 14th floor above ground, and all rooms are equipped with 50-inch or larger LCD TVs. On the TV’s large screen, “APA Digital Information,” an in-house guide, is displayed, and guests (including those using the one-day plan) can watch more than 200 titles, including movies and animations, free of charge during their stay.
Rooms are also equipped with a centralized bedside controller that integrates lighting switches, air conditioning remote control, electrical outlets, USB ports, and HDMI terminals. A new “good-night switch” that can turn off all lights at once has also been installed, and the original LED line lighting that pursues brightness and energy saving has been adopted to further enhance convenience.
In addition, the hotel has introduced a “1-second check-in machine” linked to an app. By making an online payment in advance and selecting a room from 3:00 p.m. the day before via APA Direct reservations or from 3:00 p.m. on the day of check-in via OTA reservations (online travel booking website), guests can greatly simplify the check-in procedure on the day of their stay. The hotel also offers stress-free services such as an “express check-out post” that processes check-out in real time when the room card key is dropped in the mailbox.
APA Hotel is currently operating 12 buildings with 2,849 rooms in Taito Ward, and plans to open two buildings in the Ueno area and three buildings in the Asakusa area in 2022-2023. The company plans to open two new buildings in the Ueno area and three in the Asakusa area between 2022 and 2023.
