On July 5, Tourism Australia updated its travel information on the Corona Disaster, announcing that the federal government has eliminated the Digital Declaration of Travel (DPD) and Maritime Declaration of Travel (MTD) as part of the entry requirements, effective for arrivals on July 6.
As a result, the only preparation for future travel to Australia will be an ETA (electronic travel authorization) or visa, and there will be no need to show proof of vaccination or apply for a travel waiver for unvaccinated persons.
Please note that some state governments may have different requirements for vaccinated and unvaccinated persons, so you should check in advance. For details on the changes in travel requirements to Australia, please refer to “COVID-19 and the border” on the Australian Department of Home Affairs’ website.
