Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. and Kansai Airport Insurance Inc. have introduced a non-contact overseas travel insurance subscription system at Kansai International Airport.
This new service was introduced to support safe and secure travel amidst the expected increase in demand for overseas travel as countries relax their waterfront measures. By simply holding up a smartphone with NFC functionality to one of the “Smart Plate” posters displayed at 30 locations within Kansai International Airport, users can easily purchase insurance 24 hours a day by connecting to the “Overseas Travel Insurance off! The non-contact method is said to contribute to the prevention of infectious diseases.
