Airbnb has codified the prohibition against using the property for the purpose of hosting parties that would be disruptive to the surrounding area.
In August 2020, we announced a “temporary ban on all parties and events at Airbnb listings (accommodations) worldwide,” which we will codify and make permanent.
This will remove the limit on listings that can comfortably accommodate more than 17 people, and if guests violate the rules, they will continue to be subject to account suspension and termination from Airbnb.
After the temporary implementation of the no-party policy, the party-related problem reporting rate dropped 44% on a year-to-year basis.
