Portable power supply “SuperBase Pro” equipped with casters and handles for easy portability

Posted on 2022-07-222022-07-22 by News Admin

ZENDURE Japan will start general sales of SuperBase Pro, a large-capacity portable power supply with suitcase-like casters and handles for easy portability. It will also be available at electronics mass retailers nationwide.

The product is a portable power supply with a total of 14 output ports, including six AC outlets, a USB-C port supporting 100W output, and a cigarette lighter socket. The lineup includes two products: the SuperBase Pro 2000, which uses ternary lithium (Li-NMC) to achieve a high capacity of 2096Wh, and the SuperBase Pro 1500, which uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFEPO4) for 1440Wh.

Not only is it easy to carry with casters and handles, but it also features high output power, rated at 2000W and capable of instantaneous maximum 4000W. It also has an AmpUp function that allows operation of devices up to 3000 W above the rating by adjusting the voltage and current depending on the device outputting the power, and a simple UPS function that normally operates in pass-through mode and automatically switches to battery operation in the event of power failure. Despite its large capacity, it can be fully recharged in approximately 2 hours.

It also supports 4G mobile communication and Wi-Fi connection, and a dedicated application for smartphones can be used to remotely check battery level and turn various settings on and off. Mobile communication is available free of charge for the first year after purchase, and will be charged from the second year onward (expected to be around 15,000 yen per year).

The SuperBase Pro 2000 is priced at 289,000 yen and the SuperBase Pro 1500 at 249,000 yen; the SuperBase Pro 2000 will be available in mid-August.

In addition, the “SuperBase M” series, a medium-capacity model with a fanless design, will also go on sale, with the 1000Wh “SuperBase 1000M” priced at 139,000 yen and the 609Wh “SuperBase 600M” at 99,000 yen.

According to Yuki Obara, Country Manager of Zendure Japan, since its establishment in the U.S. in 2013, the company has been developing small mobile batteries focusing on design and new technologies, and has been selling them in Japan since June 2020.

According to research, the global portable power supply market will grow from $330 million in 2020 to $470 million by 2025, an increase of 7.5% annually. The company plans to focus on large power supply products in the second phase from 2021 onward.
