NEXCO Central Japan, in cooperation with the Shinshu Silk Road Cooperation Council, will hold the “Shinshu Silk Corridor Electronic Stamp Rally. The period is from August 1 to October 31.
The sericulture industry is one of the industries that supported the modernization of Japan. In this stamp rally, participants can visit 15 checkpoints in Okaya City, Nagano Prefecture, which once flourished as the “Silk Kingdom,” and other areas in the prefecture that have a connection with silk culture, and experience the charm of the regions where the silk industry was once active. If you collect three or more stamps using the “Waku Waku Highway” application, you will be entered into a drawing to win a gift certificate for a pair of nights at the Katakura Silk Hotel, silk products, silk soap and mulberry leaf cookies, and more.
In addition, the “Shinshu Meguri Free Pass 2022,” which is available only for ETC vehicles and allows unlimited travel on expressways in Nagano Prefecture, can be used to visit checkpoints at a discount. Details on the stamp rally and how to apply are available on a special page on the NEXCO Central Japan Drivers’ Site.
