Tobu Railway announced on July 28 that it has signed an agreement with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and will begin work on a project to construct an elevated railway line near Oyama Station on the Tobu Tojo Line, which the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been promoting as part of its urban planning project.

The elevated railroad line will eliminate eight railroad crossings, thereby eliminating traffic congestion at the crossings and improving safety and convenience for both road and rail traffic. The Oyama Station will also be reconstructed at the same time.
