Supporting the business environment and dispute resolution capabilities in Indonesia

Posted on 2022-07-292022-07-29 by News Admin

In order for private companies to operate smoothly in Indonesia, it is necessary to ensure that laws are properly enacted and that clear and stable application and operation of laws are ensured. To this end, it is necessary to ensure that laws and regulations are appropriate for today’s society, as well as to ensure consistency between policies and laws and between various laws and regulations, through appropriate legislative processes and by having highly skilled personnel draft and review bills in an appropriate manner. In addition, when disputes arise, it is important for the improvement of the business environment that litigation, which is the final means of dispute resolution, be conducted fairly and promptly, and there is an urgent need to improve the capacity of the courts in Indonesia for the proper interpretation and application of laws and regulations. This cooperation will improve the drafting and reviewing abilities of drafters by improving the content of training for drafters (bill drafters) to ensure consistency among laws and regulations, and by providing training and office reference materials for judges in business-related cases. This will contribute to the improvement of legal predictability in the business world.
