New Caledonia has eliminated all entry requirements related to the novel coronavirus, effective August 1. From now on, travelers to New Caledonia will no longer be required to undergo pre-departure and arrival inspections and procedures, nor will they be required to present a justification for their trip (compelling reasons), a negative certificate for the new coronavirus, or a declaration of consent to undergo antigen and PCR testing upon arrival. These measures also apply to travel between overseas territories with the exception of France and Wallis and Futuna.
Julie Lalonde, Director General of the New Caledonia Tourist Board, said, “We are pleased to welcome you without any restrictions! Snorkel in crystal clear waters, discover Melanesian culture, enjoy French cuisine, explore the city and visit ……. We invite you to experience the charm and warm hospitality of New Caledonia. We look forward to welcoming you back to Japan.
The Ministry of Health continues to strongly recommend the use of masks in airplanes, airports, hospitals, and facilities for the elderly as a measure to prevent infection.
