Flykangwon (4V), an LCC based at Yangyang Airport in South Korea, will launch its new Narita – Yangyang route on October 30. The company is a start-up airline that began operations in November 2019, and this will be its first scheduled passenger flight between Japan and Yangyang.

The aircraft used is a Boeing 737-800. The aircraft will be a Boeing 737-800 with 186/189 seats, all in economy class. The airline plans to operate four round-trip flights per week.

Yangyang is located in Gangwon-do, a region of Korea blessed with abundant nature, and is popular as a “sacred place for the Korean Wave” as it has been used as a filming location for Korean dramas and K-POP music videos. The new service is expected to revitalize Japan-Korea exchanges, especially in terms of tourism from Japan.
