Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release a new EDIFICE model, the EQB-2000HR, on September 30, using the red paint used for the red badge on the Honda Racing car body. The price is 77,000 yen.
Based on the “EQB-2000” case design inspired by formula car suspensions, the base model features the red badge that has been passed down through the generations at Honda. The red badge, which has its roots in the RA271, the first Japanese automaker to enter Formula One in 1964, is equipped only on the TYPE R model, a production car that pursues speed. This red paint was used to color the X-shaped part in the center of the dial.
The “HRC” logo of Honda Racing, which was renewed this year, is laid out at the 3 o’clock position on the dial, and the commemorative logo of the 60th anniversary of the Suzuka Circuit, which was built by Honda in 1962, is engraved on the back cover. The band is made of Alcantara, a man-made leather that is used for the interior of the TYPE R and offers excellent durability and breathability.
