CITIZEN commemorates the first anniversary of Series 8 wrist watch: black exclusive edition

Posted on 2022-08-302022-08-31 by Editor in Chief

CITIZEN WATCH will release a limited edition 870 Mechanical model from CITIZEN Series 8, a mechanical watch brand with modern sporty design, on September 22 to commemorate the first anniversary of the brand’s re-launch.

Limited to 700 pieces worldwide, priced at 275,000 yen.

The case with a two-body bezel is polished with hairline and mirror and coated with Duratect DLC. It also features black-colored hands and indexes and a dial made of carbon, which is also used in aircraft and sports cars. For the first time in the CITIZEN SERIES EIGHT series, the back of the watch has a see-through back cover, allowing the wearer to watch the balance and rotating weight in action.

The movement is equipped with Class 2 antimagnetic protection, enhancing its ability to prevent magnetic forces emitted by smartphones and tablets from affecting time accuracy. The average daily time difference is -5 to +10 seconds, and the movement has a running time of approximately 50 hours.
