“GLAMPING & CAFE MUKU” in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture

Posted on 2022-08-302022-08-30 by Editor in Chief

Okayama Hoyu has begun accepting reservations at resortglamping.com in advance of the opening of its four-unit glamping and cafe facility “GLAMPING & CAFE MUKU” (1663-1 Hiruguchi, Makino-cho, Takashima, Shiga Prefecture).

Located along a row of metasequoia trees in Makino Town, Takashima City, visitors can enjoy the changing seasons: spring with fresh greenery, summer with deep green, fall with autumn leaves, and winter with snowy scenery.

The glamping building will be equipped with air conditioning and heating for year-round comfort. The Lotus Belle tent is also equipped with a private dog run.

In front of the café, unique playground equipment is set up in a plaza where children can play to their heart’s content. Adults can watch over their children at the garden seating area.

For meals, a BBQ menu devised by a chef who honed his skills in French cuisine will be served. The main dish is roast beef cooked at low temperature to lock in the flavor, and the lineup includes seafood from Lake Biwa such as Biwa trout and Omi shrimp, as well as locally grown vegetables. The restaurant also offers an “Overnight Plan” that allows guests to bring their own meals and enjoy an original BBQ.

Rates will start at 10,230 yen per person for a forest room (3 beds), 10,230 yen per person for a forest room (4 domes), 9,185 yen per person for a suite cabin, and 10,340 yen per person for a dog-rotation tent.
