Qantas will resume direct flights between Japan and Australia on September 12.
The Haneda-Sydney service is scheduled for three round-trip flights per week, using an Airbus A330 aircraft equipped with a full-flat-bed business suite. Australia is currently classified as a “blue” country by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, which means that there is no need for an entry inspection or voluntary quarantine when returning to Japan, but if the passenger does not hold a vaccination certificate, he/she must submit a negative test certificate from a test taken within 72 hours prior to departure.
