Universal Studios Japan (USJ) will reorganize its annual pass lineup with the introduction of a new ticket type, the Universal Prime Annual Pass.
The new ticket types are the Universal Prime Annual Pass Grand Royal, which comes with a variety of benefits, and the Universal Prime Annual Pass Standard, which allows visitors to enjoy the parks on a more casual, daily basis. The first visit date is November 14, and pre-sales will begin on October 17.
The Universal Prime Annual Pass Grand Royale is an annual pass for park fans with no exclusion dates. It offers a variety of benefits, including invitations to exclusive Grand Royal events, advance access to the latest entertainment events, and advance sales of paid tickets. The price is 48,800 yen for adults and 33,200 yen for children.
The Universal Prime Annual Pass Standard is an annual pass for those who want to enjoy the parks repeatedly. It allows you to visit the parks as many times as you like during the year, except on the days when admission is not permitted. In addition, a new benefit, the “Excluded Day Discount,” makes it possible to purchase a Studio Pass (1-day pass) at a discount even if you wish to visit the parks on an Excluded Day.
In accordance with this change, the “Universal Annual Pass VIP” and “Universal Annual Pass Lite” currently on sale will cease to be available as of the start of the validity period on November 13, 2012. Those who already own these Annual Passes may continue to use them during their validity period.
