Japan Association for Tourism Promotion, Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) announced the second release of the booths of interest for Tourism EXPO Japan 2022, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight (3-11-1 Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo) on September 24-25 (related article “Tourism EXPO Japan The first booth of interest for “Tourism Expo Japan 2022” is now open to the public. This year’s theme is “Challenge to a New Era – ReStart,” and will bring together a variety of exhibits from Japan and abroad, including tourism resources highlighting the SDGs, experiences to enjoy nature, and travel ideas utilizing the latest technology.

Among the highlights at the overseas booths of more than 70 countries and regions exhibiting will be a talk show by the Spanish National Tourist Board featuring the Real Madrid Soccer Academy, sherry, and live Spanish guitar music. Tourism Australia’s booth will feature the world’s first “8D Audio” audio effects technology and a series of videos depicting beautiful local landscapes.

Meanwhile, highlights of the domestic booths include an aroma spray-making experience and an Ainu design necklace-making workshop by the Hokkaido Tourism Promotion Organization. At the booth of Nanto City in Toyama Prefecture, which runs the “Nanto-Travel” hands-on travel program, visitors can try their hand at making sake cups under the guidance of a wood carver, a Japanese Heritage site, and sample sake and wine made from local water. The Fukui Prefectural Tourism Federation’s booth, with its impressive dinosaur skeleton, is also highly recommended.

In addition, stage events such as talk shows featuring athletes and celebrities, traditional performing arts performances, and quiz competitions will be held at the venue.
