Casio will release the PRW-6900Y/PRW-6900YL with metal square bezel from its PRO TREK outdoor watch line on October 8.
PRO TREK” is equipped with a triple sensor that can measure direction, atmospheric pressure/altitude, and temperature, which is useful in outdoor scenes, multi-band 6 that receives radio waves from six stations around the world, and Tough Solar that stably drives various functions with solar charging. The PRW-6900Y/PRW-6900YL are also equipped with sensor and timekeeping functions, and were designed with a camping-style “bushcraft” theme.
The square bezel is made of stainless steel that looks as if it has been shaved on the sides, based on the motif of a martial axe used for chopping wood. The top surface is grinded with fine lines on the circumference, while the bevel and sides are polished with hairline and mirror finish, and IP treatment gives it a strong, sharp impression. The surface of the dial expresses the texture of cast metal like a Dutch oven. The color scheme of the second hand is reminiscent of a campfire flame, and the small hand on the in-dial is shaped like an outdoor knife, bringing elements of the outdoors into the watch design.
It comes in black, khaki, and brown, and is priced at 68,200 yen.
