We’ve seen Workman’s new fall/winter products! Women’s, functional outerwear, camping gear, and more…PB price unchanged declaration for the strongest cosmetics!

A stage event was also held at the venue, where Tetsuo Tsuchiya, Senior Managing Director, who took the stage for the presentation, announced that the prices of PB products will remain unchanged until the end of August 2023. The targeted products are 260 of the top 300 PB product sales from January to August 2022. Despite the triple challenges of a weak yen, high raw material prices, and rising transportation costs, the company will maintain prices through the common use of materials, off-season production, increased production volume, and a series of small cost reductions. In the latter half of the stage event, the results of a general election for Workman’s coordinates, which was planned through SNS, were announced.

Workman held a presentation of new products for fall/winter 2022 in Tokyo on September 14. The exhibition hall, the largest in its history, showcased a variety of new products, including the second round of camping gear for families, the #Workman Women’s Autumn/Winter collection, and new WORKMAN Shoes products, as well as an exhibit of golf-related products that the company aims to sell for 4 billion yen by FY2024.

Let’s take a quick look at the new fall/winter products. First, let’s start with the “Ladies’ Diatec Warm Blanket Poncho” that caught our attention in the ladies’ category. This product was worn on stage by Akiko Yamamoto, a stylist who took the stage to announce the results of the Workman’s Coordinate General Election. It comes in three colors.

The “FLAME-TECH Women’s Camping Salopette,” which has a fusion-resistant finish to reduce holes caused by flying sparks from fires, is another new product that is attracting attention. With 10 large and 10 small pockets, there is no need for a bag. They will come in handy for camping and outdoor activities.

There is one product of note in the backpack category. It is the BASIC Backpack 2, a limited edition model of the popular BASIC Backpack made of waterproof fabric. It has a generous two compartments and uses YKK’s innovative interwoven zippers. As the name suggests, it has a basic shape and is recommended for people of all ages. In addition, it has excellent cost performance.

The “Durable Water Repellent Travel Shell” series is the perfect travel wear for camping and other outdoor travel. The lineup includes three products: warm jacket, warm piste, and warm pants. They are lightweight, compact, and stretchable for easy movement. They are ideal for wearing in a tent.

Workman began selling children’s clothing in 2020, and for fall/winter 2022, the junior line will be even more extensive. The line features items made of tough, stain-resistant fabrics that will be useful for camping and other outdoor activities. The line will be available exclusively through the online store.

New outerwear products with outstanding functionality for adults are also available. Half of Workman’s hit products, such as FUSION DOWN, INAREM, and FLAME-TECH, are made of originally developed materials. Among these, the new FUWATECH material is the definitive lightweight winter protection material, and is being used in 12 products in the 2022 fall/winter season.

Workman’s camping gear has been in full-scale development since February 2022. The first phase, which received a great response, achieved overall gear sales of 2.7 million items and 4 billion yen. The simple dome-shaped tent “BASIC Dome Tent for 1 person (4,900 yen)” sold 40,000 items. On the day of the exhibition, many of the second phase products, including tents, shelters, and tarps for full-scale family camping, were on display. Workman’s camping gear continues to be sold exclusively on the web and in stores.

According to the presentation by Executive Managing Director Tsuchiya, Workman’s future sales plan for camping gear-related products is targeted at 6 billion yen in FY2023 and 10 billion yen in FY2024, based on the strength of horizontal development of 40 types of proprietary materials. Furthermore, all “#Workman Girls” stores will be expanded as combined stores with “WORKMAN Shoes,” with plans to have 23 stores by March 2023. The nearest store is scheduled to open on October 14 at Tokyu Department Store in Kichijoji, Tokyo, for the first time. The company also announced that it will enter the “women’s innerwear” category in February 2023 as a new category.
