Aizawa Noen will open “~Aizawa Winery Produce~ Glamping & Camping Field/Tokachi Wakka no Mori Campsite” (28-46 Asahiyama, Shimizu-cho, Kamikawa-gun, Hokkaido) in September. Capacity is for two to five people, with fees starting at 9,000 yen per person. Reservations are now being accepted at resortglamping.com.
This glamping facility has a total of three dome tents. Located at the foot of the Hidaka Mountains, about 50 minutes from Tokachi Obihiro Airport, about two hours from Sapporo by car, guests can enjoy the vast Wakka Forest, where nature remains in its natural state.
The 7-meter-diameter dome tent, imported from Poland, is the first of its kind introduced in Japan and is designed for extremely cold climates. It uses a frame that is thicker and more solid than conventional dome tent frames, as well as multi-layered insulation, making it possible to enjoy glamping in winter as well as spring through fall.
In addition, guests will be able to enjoy a special BBQ menu incorporating local Tokachi ingredients and hot sandwiches for breakfast, as well as a “no-stay plan” to enjoy an original BBQ by bringing your own ingredients. In addition, a tent sauna will be set up on the premises by the river for guests to enjoy for a fee. Visitors can experience “totonou” by taking a bath in the open air.
