Tourism Expo Japan 2022, one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight (Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo) for four days from September 22 to 25.

The Hokkaido Tourism Organization and JR Hokkaido display Hokkaido’s local specialties and memorabilia throughout one large booth. Visitors can enjoy information on sightseeing in each area, including North Hokkaido, Central Hokkaido, East Hokkaido, and South Hokkaido, while surrounded by the jerseys of the Loco Solare women’s curling team, which won a silver medal at the Beijing Olympics, Hiyama trees, Japanese sake, craft beer, and more.

JR Hokkaido also introduced sightseeing with a six-day round-trip pass that normally costs 12,000 yen for a ride worth 24,000 yen.

On September 24 and 25, when the exhibition will be open to the public, a workshop program will be offered to give visitors a taste of Hokkaido’s nature and culture.
