Tourism Expo Japan 2022, one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight (Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo) for four days from September 22 to 25.
Urasoe City, Okinawa Prefecture, is located north of Naha City and is accessible in about 25 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Renovable foreign residences have been converted into cafes and general merchandise stores, creating a stylish townscape with a variety of stores to stop by. In addition, the town is being developed as a tourist destination, with historical sites such as the ruins of Urasoe Castle and art museums, and the construction of hotels underway.
Also, a short animation project, “Ryukyu Timeline,” is being developed. The project is set in the sightseeing spots and stores of Urasoe City, allowing visitors to actually visit and enjoy the world of the animation.
At the booth, brochures introducing these tourist attractions will be distributed, as well as guides and maps featuring the spots where the short anime appears.
