On September 26, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Grant Agreement (G/A) with the Royal Government of Bhutan in Thimphu Province, the capital of the Kingdom of Bhutan, for a grant of up to 2.994 billion yen for the “Royal Center for Infectious Diseases Construction Project.
This project aims to improve the quality of treatment for infectious diseases and to establish a center for the development of human resources with expertise in infectious disease control by constructing the Royal Centre for Infectious Diseases and equipping it with medical equipment in Thimphu Province, thereby contributing to the sustainable growth of Bhutan by strengthening measures against infectious diseases. This will contribute to the sustainable growth of Bhutan through the enhancement of infectious disease control measures.
