The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions (R/D) with the Mongolian government on October 4 in Ulaanbaatar for the technical cooperation project “Cyber Security Human Resources Development Project.
Mongolia has seen dramatic progress in informatization and digitization over the past 30 years, resulting in economic development. At the same time, however, many of the people, goods, money, and infrastructure systems of organizations are connected in cyberspace, and the security risks associated with this have become enormous.
In light of this situation, this project aims to improve the quality of cyber security education in Mongolia by establishing an industry-academia-government collaborative network to develop human resources with expertise in cyber security and by developing educational programs for students, active lecturers, and public officials.
The project aims to promote a secure digital society in the country and contribute to SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Goal 4 (Quality Education for All) and Goal 9 (Let’s Create a Foundation for Industry and Technological Innovation) through this project.
