On October 6, the Japan Weather Association released the first report of its pollen dispersion forecast for spring 2023.
According to the announcement, the number of cases will be about the same or slightly higher than usual in Kyushu, Chugoku, and Shikoku prefectures, and slightly higher in Kinki and Hokuriku prefectures. In the Kinki and Hokuriku regions, the number will be slightly higher, and in the Kanto Koshin region, the number will be higher than usual in Tokyo and very high in the other prefectures.
Tohoku is expected to have a very large number of visitors, while Hokkaido is expected to have slightly fewer than usual. In Tokai, only Shizuoka is expected to have more, while the other three prefectures will have slightly fewer.
