This month marks three years since Sadako Ogata, who served as UN High Commissioner for Refugees and President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), passed away in October 2019.
In just three years, the world has changed dramatically.
What would you do?”
If Ogata-san were alive, he might say this.
JICA has now been invited to reflect on Ogata-san’s life and accomplishments.
A symposium will be held to discuss the future of the world and Japan.
We hope that as many people as possible will participate in the event and experience Ogata-san’s way of life and way of thinking.
Each one of us who has been entrusted with the baton
I hope we can think together about how we should live.
This symposium will be discussed based on the feedback we will receive from you in advance of the event.
Please send them here.
