Navitime begins offering bus route maps that connect routes with each other on docomo’s “Sugotoku” service.

Posted on 2022-10-28 by Editor in Chief

Navitime Japan has started providing bus route maps on “NAVITIME for Sugotoku” within NTT DoCoMo’s “Sugotoku Contents” subscription service for smartphones.

The service is centered on the JR East Chuo Line, and route maps are displayed on the “Total Navi” screen when a bus route is selected, on the route search results screen, and on the operation information screen. Since the JR Central Line runs parallel to multiple east-west lines, including the Seibu Line and Keio Line, the service intuitively shows the best route even if it would be a detour by rail alone. The company is considering expanding the area covered by the system in the future.

Note that this function is limited to docomo devices equipped with “docomo Application Manager” and is not available for other carriers or iOS devices.
