YOHAKU Office has published “Anime 88 Pilgrimage” on its own media “QUON,” which promotes traditional Japanese culture, on the theme of pilgrimages to sacred anime sites and traditional local crafts.
Japanese anime boasts worldwide popularity, and this project introduces the sacred places where the anime is set, likening them to a “pilgrimage”. This project introduces the locations by comparing them to “pilgrimage tours.” In addition to information on access, filming spots, and food that appeared in the anime, the project also includes information on the culture and traditional handicrafts unique to the area.
As of October 27, 11 titles are open to the public. In the future, they plan to feature sacred places from various genres such as movies, dramas, novels, and manga, as well as anime.
