Hario, the no-fail outdoor rice cooker. Combination of Iwate Iron Technology and Niigata Metalworking Technology

Posted on 2022-11-08 by Editor in Chief

Hario Trading has released the Zebrang Rice Oven, the first cooking gear in the Zebrang series of outdoor coffee gear, exclusively at HARIO NETSHOP. It is priced at 17,600 yen.

Under the slogan of “no-fail outdoor rice cooking,” this product was developed by combining the Iwate-based casting technology of “OI-GEN Casting,” the metalworking technology of Niigata, and the cookware know-how of Hario Trading Co. No time measurement is required when cooking rice. The whistle made with stainless steel processing technology from Tsubame-Sanjo in Niigata will tell the cooker when to remove the pot from the fire and how much rice is cooked, and the even heat conductivity of the iron pot will eliminate rice cooking mistakes.

The company claims that rice cooked in the Zebulon Rice Oven is crispy, with each grain standing on its own, and goes well with curry rice and soup, which are popular camping foods. This product requires seasoning, but it can be used with simple seasoning such as blending oil on the skin of the pot with oil and vegetables at the beginning of use or periodically, or by sandwiching oily recipes such as cooked rice.
