Sado Kisen, Michinori Holdings, Sado Area Hire Association, REA, Niigata Prefecture, and Sado City will operate the “Sado Kisen Shuttle” between the Ryotsu and Kuninaka urban areas of Sado City and the Ryotsu Port Sado Kisen Terminal from November 11 to December 18, connecting to Sado Kisen’s ferry service. There is no charge for this service.
This will be a shared-ride transportation service that operates between Ryotsu Port and the downtown area of Sado Island according to the timing of boats departing from Ryotsu Port and arriving at Ryotsu Port (except the 5:30 am departure from Ryotsu and the 7:20 am departure from Ryotsu to Niigata Port).
Among the many boarding and alighting points located in the area, the AI calculates efficient routes between multiple boarding and alighting points requested by users and the Ryotsu Port.
Of these, 98 will be located near existing bus stops, while the remaining 88 will be marked by inns, hotels, stores, and other facilities to provide a high level of convenience.
Reservations can be made by selecting the date, time, and flight of the vessel for which you wish to make a boarding reservation from the dedicated website, and then selecting the boarding and disembarking locations you wish to use (except for certain times, reservations can also be made by calling Sado Kisen’s reservation center).
The number of passengers is 7 per boat on Fridays and 10 per boat on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
