G-SHOCK collaborates with “EARTHWATCH” featuring polar bears. Off-white with blue luminescent resin

Posted on 2022-11-16 by Editor in Chief

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release a new shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch, the GW-9408KJ-7JR, in collaboration with the international environmental NGO EARTHWATCH, on November 18. The price is 58,300 yen.

EARTHWATCH supports environmental conservation and research on endangered ecosystems, marine and biological diversity, and climate change. The collaborative model to be released this time is based on the “RANGEMAN” from the “MASTER OF G” series and designed with the polar bear, which is designated as an endangered species, as a motif. The off-white base color is reminiscent of polar bears, with blue luminescent resin around the LCD and a clear blue skeleton on the back of the band to represent the icebergs that are the polar bear’s habitat.

In addition, EARTHWATCH’s call to action, “Change the World. Yourself,” is printed on the band, the organization’s logo appears on the LED backlight, and the “Love The Sea And The Earth” symbol is engraved on the back cover.
