Matsumoto City will hold a laser mapping production “Matsumoto Castle – Ice Crystal Sparkling Water Mirror” at Matsumoto Castle, a national treasure. The period is from December 1 to February 28, 2023.
As part of the “Matsumoto City Illumination” and the “National Treasure Matsumoto Castle Ice Sculpture Festival,” the city will be illuminated with laser mapping and other urban illuminations. Ice sculptures will appear against the backdrop of the castle and the snow-capped Northern Alps.
Matsumoto Castle Laser Mapping uses the latest systems to create visual expressions and glittering lights. Visitors will be able to enjoy a production composed of dots and lines, a characteristic of lasers.
In addition, new illuminated spots and a gourmet campaign are planned for this year’s event.
