NEXCO Central Japan, Central Japan Exis, and Carstay will extend the operating period of “RV Station Suzuka PA,” a spot for overnight stays in cars at Suzuka PA on the Shin-Meishin Expressway (E1A) uphill route, until August 31, 2023. The fee is 2,200 yen per vehicle.
RV Station Suzuka PA is the nation’s first car overnight spot for leisure travelers on an expressway directly connected to the parking lot of Suzuka PA. Originally set to run from October 7 to November 27, the period has been extended due to popular demand.
In addition, to encourage more people to use the service, including those traveling via the nearby Suzuka Circuit, Tsubakidai Shrine, and the Tokai region during the year-end and New Year holidays, a “Outing Support Campaign” will be conducted, offering a 50% discount on usage fees to those who make a reservation and make payment during the period from December 17 to January 31, 2023. Up to 100 cars on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reservations can be made via the “Carstay” application, which allows users to make reservations for overnight stays in cars throughout Japan. When using the service from the Shin-Meishin off-ramp, it is necessary to exit the Suzuka PA smart IC and re-enter the up-ramp from the same smart IC.
