Weathernews has announced the nationwide weather trend from the night of December 14 to the dawn of December 15, the best time to observe the Geminids meteor shower, one of the three major meteor showers, which will reach its peak (maximum) activity around 10 p.m. on December 14.
Winter pressure is expected to prevail on the night of the 14th. In eastern and western Japan, areas on the Pacific Ocean side are expected to have clear skies with few clouds, providing good conditions for meteor observation. On the other hand, in northern Japan and areas on the Sea of Japan side, it will be difficult to observe meteors as snow is likely to fall.
Weather News LiVE, a 24-hour live weather information program, will broadcast a special program on the night of the 13th and 14th that will show the Geminids meteor shower live for two consecutive nights. Recommended for people in areas where meteor observation is difficult or for those who want to watch meteors in a warm room.
