WWS x ASICS, genuine leather business shoes with step-on calf

Posted on 2022-12-14 by Editor in Chief

Oasis Lifestyle Group, which develops WWS (workwear suits), has released “borderless genuine leather shoes” that can be stepped on by the calf. The product was jointly developed with ASICS Corporation, and in a pre-sale on a crowdfunding site, it was ranked first in the business shoe category in terms of all-time purchase amount.

The “texcy luxe” business shoes from ASICS Corporation, which offer sneaker-like comfort, have been designed to address the problems of conventional leather shoes, such as difficulty in taking them off, putting them on, and making them uncomfortable to walk in, while also making them suitable for formal occasions. The result is a shoe that can be worn to formal occasions as well.

In particular, by removing the “heel counter,” the shoes can be worn like sandals by stepping on the heel, allowing them to be worn as formal leather shoes when on the road or in transit, and as sandals that are easy to remove when on a break or in the office. In addition, the secret side gore design makes them easy to put on and take off even with the shoelaces tied.

They come in two colors, black and brown (web-only), and are priced at 14,080 yen. Sizes range from 24.5 to 27.0 cm (in 0.5 cm increments).
