With restrictions on international traffic almost on par with pre-Corona levels, it has become more fun to make travel plans. In the midst of all this, the Hawaii Tourism Authority has released a series of virtual tour videos that provide the latest information on hotels and tourist facilities. The 10-minute video includes “I want to go to Hawaii!” and is packed with updated information perfect for those who are thinking, “I want to go to Hawaii!
Kualoa Ranch Hawaii is located in the northeastern part of Oahu, about 50 minutes by car from Waikiki. This is a popular tourist spot where you can enjoy various activities such as ATVs, horseback riding, and ziplining in the vast grounds that are 450 times the size of the Tokyo Dome.
Kualoa Ranch Hawaii is also known as a location for many Hollywood movies and TV dramas such as “Jurassic World,” “Godzilla,” and “Lost. The dynamic landscape surrounding the facility is aptly described as “unexplored,” and many people probably think, “I’ve seen this place before! I’ve seen this place before!
During the 90-minute “Movie Location Tour” that takes you through the Ka’ava Valley by bus, you can see the sets that were actually used for filming, and at spots such as the “Jurassic Park” filming location, you can get off the bus for a photo opportunity!
Popular horseback riding tours are offered in the Western style, with one hand on the reins, and include a two-hour course through Ka’aava Valley from a vantage point overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Other tours for active people include the powerful Raptor tour in a 6-seater 4WD, E-mountain bike tours, and thrilling zip line tours, but recently eco-tours that teach sustainability have become popular.
For example, the Aloha Aina Tour is a trolley ride through the park where you can learn about Hawaii’s agricultural products and even sample some of the produce grown at Kualoa Ranch.
Visitors can learn about the importance of taro as a source of nutrition for the Hawaiian people and its cultural connection to Kualoa through planting and harvesting taro, the staple food of the Hawaiians, on the newly introduced Malama Experience Tour at the Corona Hazel.
Kualoa Ranch Hawaii has a private beach called Secret Island. Here, you can enjoy the beach all day long while playing with stand-up paddle boards (SUP) and sea kayaks. Of course, you can rest assured that there is a staff member on hand to assist you with your activities.
Another popular activity is the “Ocean Voyage Tour,” a cruise around Kaneohe Bay aboard the Kailani, a double-decker catamaran. The contrast of the Ko’olau Mountains and the magnificent view of Kualoa from the ocean is exceptional. You may even see sea turtles in the coral reef area.
The gift store in the visitor center has many original goods to choose from for souvenirs. There is also a café serving hamburgers and garlic shrimp. The Kualoa Grown farmer’s market is popular among the locals for locally produced and consumed foods such as beef, pork, and oysters, as well as vegetables and fruits grown in Kualoa. If you are staying at a hotel or condominium with a kitchen, you can stop by on your drive to buy fresh Kualoa produce.
