Iwate Prefecture and Pokémon Inc. announced the opening of a park in late April 2023 with playground equipment designed by Ishitsubute of Pocket Monsters.
Ishitsubute Park will be set up in the event plaza of Michi no Eki Iwate Kitasanriku (3-2, Toriya No. 7 Jiwanari, Natsui-cho, Kuji City, Iwate Prefecture), scheduled to open in April, as part of a cooperative agreement between the prefecture and the company starting in May 2019 for the revitalization of the region.
The company donated six pieces of playground equipment with an ishitsubute motif and peripheral equipment, which will be installed by the town of Kuji.
