The Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation Bureau will launch the “ToKoPo Step Up Bonus,” a point service using the PASMO transportation IC card, on April 1.
The service is applicable to passengers who use the same fare segment more than 8 times within the same month with SF balance. 8 to 15 rides will earn 3% of the fare amount, 16 to 23 rides will earn 7%, and 24 or more rides will earn 12% of the fare amount as points. In addition to the 3% points, 8 rides will also be rewarded with points. Points can be recharged to PASMO at ticket vending machines at each station in 10-yen increments, where 1 point = 1 yen.
In accordance with this, the sale of regular coupon tickets for the subway and Nippori-Toneri Liner will end on March 17 (for students commuting to the Open University of Japan and correspondence schools, and for disabled persons, the sale will continue). Tickets that have already been sold can be used until the expiration of their validity period.
