JORDAN will support searches for temporary timetables and detour routes for the JR Yamanote Line outbound service on January 7 and 8.
JR East will suspend all trains between Osaki, Shibuya, and Ikebukuro on the Yamanote Line outbound from the first train on January 7 to the last train on January 8 due to track switching work on the Yamanote Line at Shibuya Station. As a result, the Yamanote Line, Keihin Tohoku Line, Saikyo Line, Rinkai Line, and Sotetsu/JR Direct Line will be operated on a temporary schedule.
The transit information system will support the temporary schedules for these routes by January 4. Route searches on the day of construction will be conducted using the temporary schedules. It is also possible to search for routes that bypass the suspended sections of the Yamanote Line outbound trains.
In some cases, routes other than those covered by the transfer service provided by JR East to other companies’ lines may be shown as detour routes via non-JR lines. Fares may also differ from actual fares because they are based on normal rules and do not take into account the use of detour rides and transfer services.
