Chiba Prefecture is currently offering its own regional coupon amount as part of the “Chiba Tokubari Campaign,” a nationwide travel support program.
The National Travel Assistance usually subsidizes a flat rate of 20% (up to 5,000 yen per night for travel products with transportation/up to 3,000 yen per night for other travel products) of the total cost of travel until March 31 (including check-out on April 1), and regional coupons (2,000 yen per night for weekdays/1,000 yen per night for holidays) that can be used to purchase souvenirs, etc. are, in principle, provided in the form of electronic coupons. In addition to the above, Chiba Prefecture is offering an additional 2,000 yen per night in regional coupons for stays of 5,000 yen or more per person per night, regardless of whether the stay is on a weekday or holiday.
