G-SHOCK converts the first generation DW-5000C to full metal. Titanium alloy adopted, laser-engraved base pattern.

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release the GMW-B5000TCC-1JR, a special model of the first generation G-SHOCK “DW-5000C” in full metal. The price is 214,500 yen.

The pattern of the circuit board of the GMW-B5000 module “3459” is depicted by black IP and laser engraving. The laser is applied before and after coating with Black IP, and the laser engraving is divided into two processes to create the difference in texture.

The material used is TranTixxii, a titanium alloy developed by Nippon Steel Corporation. While capturing the characteristics of titanium, which is light and gentle to the skin, it is approximately twice as hard as pure titanium.

In addition, a full metal case has been achieved through a shock-resistant construction with a fine resin buffer between the metal bezel and the main body case section. The size of the case has been maintained by high-density mounting technology. The back of the case is a screw-back case with DLC treatment for superior abrasion resistance.

The metal band piece is dimpled and inherits the resin band design of the first model. Film solar cells and STN-LCD (liquid crystal display) are also used to enhance visibility.

In terms of functionality, the watch is equipped with a Bluetooth communication function and can acquire accurate time information through linkage with a dedicated application. In addition, the watch has a time correction system using standard radio waves, stable drive by Tough Solar, a high-luminance fully-automatic LED backlight, world time, and a day-of-week display in six languages, among other practical features.
