The City of Yokohama has been running its own travel support campaign, “Find Your YOKOHAMA,” which offers discounts on sightseeing and lodging in the city, and resumed distribution of “lodging discount coupons” on January 17.
This campaign is being conducted by the Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau from the spring of 2022 to support the city’s tourism-related industries, which have been hit hard by the impact of the new coronavirus, and to help the local economy recover. Coupons are distributed through OTAs for “lodging,” “experience,” and “one-day tours.
The “Lodging Coupons” that have resumed distribution are available to travelers throughout Japan, and there are 13 types, ranging from 4,200 yen per person per night or more to 36,000 yen per person per night for two people or more, depending on the number of people staying overnight and the price of their stay. The coupons are distributed through Tabigator, a domestic accommodation reservation site, and travelers can apply the coupons by making accommodation reservations through Yahoo!
Each coupon is valid until February 15 (including check-out on February 16). The coupons cannot be used in conjunction with the Kanagawa Prefecture’s nationwide travel support program “Isa, Kanagawa! (Kanagawa Prefecture’s nationwide travel support program). In addition, a history of vaccination (3 times) and negative proof such as PCR test are required to use the coupon.
