On January 18, SoftBank Robotics began selling Delivery X1, a food delivery and transport robot, in Japan. The robot was developed by Gausium, a Shanghai-based robot developer.

Equipped with up to 4 trays (1st to 3rd trays adjustable) and a 10″ touch panel, it can transport items weighing up to 30 kg. Maximum travel speed is 0.8 m/s.

Prior to the release of the new product, the company has been conducting tests at Sky Dining Tenku, a buffet restaurant in the Sky Tower of the Nagoya Prince Hotel, and has decided to introduce the new product.

The “Delivery X1 Iris Edition,” which adds Iris Ohyama’s unique options, is also available at the same time.
